The Grateful Dead was once an American rock band that formed in 1965 in the San Francisco, CA area. The band was known for its unique and eclectic style, which fused elements of rock, folk, jazz, psychedelia, and space rock plus gospel bluegrass, blues, reggae, country—and for live performances of long musical improvisation. The Dead as many of the long time followers refer to them, have reaturned after a 14 year layoff.
The Tour kicks off in at the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, NC on April 12, 2009. The tour will run about 20 cities with some dates to be added later. If you are interested in seeing one of these special performances please let us know. Here is the itinerary:
